Michigan Haiku

Michigan Haiku by Jeff Furtaw

Boy, it's really cold
Fifteen degrees was the high
I can't feel my face

Ok let me give this a try.

No mercy in sight
The Texas sun is so cruel
Help me I'm melting

Alright, I admit that I'm no poet. But this is what a Texas Haiku would look like in June, July, and especially August.

You're no poet? What? Of course you are- your syllable selection was spot on AND from what I've heard from other Texans, it's just plum, flat out steamingingly blistering in the summer. I'll visit in the winter thank you.
